Which is better-iPhone or Droid?

I need to get a new phone(I have a broken env3), however since I would have the for the next two years, I want make sure I get the best fit for me. I've heard Droids are more for people who are more "PC" while iPhone is more for those who prefer simplicity and media. What should I consider? Is one operating system superior than the other?
