On the Sopranos, what was the significance of the ending music: Steve Perry's/Journey's Don't Stop Believing?

Okay - this is my final Soprano question (there are so many that remain unanswered). Any thoughts on this one, friends? I'm quite disappointed with the ending so I'm distracting myself by trying to play "connect the dots" with things like the Journey song to try to eventually solve the puzzle of the lame ending to the show.
