Should Gov Perry of Texas be charged with treason or sedition for advocating secession from the Union?

I can't express my disgust for the man as he panders to extremist groups including right wing religious groups and white wing fanatics. What could he possibly gain from this position and has he given up any cloak of pseudo patriotism he may have once had?
