Colleges in North Carolina or Virginia?

There are good colleges in both states. The colleges I can think of that I know to be good colleges are the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In Virginia there is the University of Virginia, which may be the best school in either state. It is almost Ivy league. I would go to the University of Virginia, and I would definitely check out the Science program there. My younger brother got a masters in electrical engineering there.
