How can we re-energize the illegal immigration issue?

I agree,these politicians that are supposed to represent the American people tried to p an immigration bill that most Americans rejected not once but three times,we have now a president that is more active in securing Iraq's border but does nothing to secure the US borders,living in the southern part of Texas I see hundreds of illegals coming in daily with no problem at all,personally I think our own government has tied the border patrol's hands that they can't do their job,and these candidates now running for the presidency are not going to help turn the tide of illegals coming in
